Cooking for Kids

Do you have picky eaters? Bless you, if you do! My girls are not that picky. They know what they like and definitely what they don't! When my husband and I decided to change our lifestyle and begin eating healthy and cutting out junk foods, it wasn't just us who had to adjust. Fortunately, our kids already love fruit, veggies, lean meats and trail mix. Mixing it up has been hard for me. They don't want chicken every night. They don't want just plain brown rice. They also are not fans of "sauce" or anything like that.

Some ideas which made it easier for me so I wasn't cooking 2 different dinners, and keeping the girls happy.

Chicken Legs (instead of the regular chicken breasts, they get chicken legs, which they love)
Veggie Tray (the girls LOVE to dip veggies all day long)
Fruit Tray (giving them options is always a hit)
Trail Mix (I get the one with yogurt covered raisins and M&M's for the kids - and it is great on the go)
Go Yogurt (good for lunches)

This site has many options, including recipes for diabetic kids, lactose intolerant kids and options for mom's who don't want to cook 2 meals for dinner.
