Exercising??? But, but, but....

Yeah, that was my reaction too... Exercising... It takes so much time. It is something else I will have to somehow put into an already busy schedule. It just seems like such a hassle.

But you know what, it doesn't have to be!

I knew if I started my exercising doing too much too soon, I would stop. I would be done. I would be discouraged and angry. Which in turn, which make me eat more, since I am an emotional eater.

So, I bought a stationary bike. I started riding the stationary bike 30 minutes a day. I would put my daughter to bed and ride the bike. I was excited to start. It was ok. I was able to fit it in and pretty soon I was able to change it to the morning and get my day started right.

The exercising forced me to drink more water throughout the day. I was thirsty. And pretty soon, 30 minutes wasn't enough. I wasn't "feeling it" like I did before so I upped my time. I started riding for an hour. And for those of you who know me don't faint, I started running. Well running and walking a mile. And pretty soon I could actually run a mile!

Today, I have a membership to a gym. I love the treadmill and the stationary bike. I just discovered the elliptical machine and enjoy burning the heck out of my legs every so often during the week. The good news is, I am 20lbs away from reaching my goal. I will be the pant size I was in 8th grade.

So start slow, but don't give up. And if you miss a day or 2, be ok with that and start again!
