Ever need a snack at night???
Yeah, me too! Tonight especially!But, I am going to refrain from the cupcakes, leftover Christmas candy and the candy canes sitting next to me on the end table. Instead, I cut up a kiwi from the fridge. Whew, temptation avoided, this time...
Did you know that the 2 biggest deterrents from loosing weight are eating after 6pm and soda? Or pop, depending on which part of the country you live in!
It was really easy for me to cut out the soda. I'm not a big soda person, I'd rather drink juice or water, so that was easy. Stopping from eating after 6pm, now that has been so hard. I either want something sweet or something salty. And then I found that when I did eat the salty I was craving, then I needed the sweet. Go figure.
So, now I keep fruit and veggies in the fridge. And lots of it. I particularly like kiwi, it is sweet and it has a little tiny crunch from the seeds. Another trick for me is Crystal Light Peach Tea. It curbs my sweet cravings, and is much better than a piece of candy that will immediately go to my belly.
So, when you are sitting on the couch, watching the college bowl games this week, grab and apple instead of those chips. Get a large cup of ice water and drink it before you have anything, you might just be thirsty. Try and fight off those unhealthy cravings. Eventually they go away, promise!
