Where do you get your household items?

Yes, I even have to budget household items such as shampoo, conditioner, cleaning supplies and toilet paper. I used to get these items from WalMart or Target. And then I discovered my local Dollar Tree/Dollar Store. Now mind you not everything at the dollar store is a deal; toilet paper is one of them. Most of the time sale toilet paper at your grocery store or other store is going to be a better value.

However, I am able to get shampoo, conditioner, cleaning supplies, tupperware (yes even the actual tupperware brand) all at the dollar store. I use $10-$20 in one month to get these items. This will last us about 3-4 months. And if I happen to have an extra $5-$10, I can stock up one month and we can go about 6 months before needing these items again.

Remember, not everything in the dollar store is a deal. But it definitely doesn't hurt to check out your local dollar store for deals.
